portra film - dec & jan

Right before Christmas I decided to splurge for myself and order a few rolls of Kodak Portra 400 film. I’ve always seen people rave about it but I’ve never had the funds to actually get any, but I finally got the first two rolls developed! This is mostly from December and January, some portrait shoots with a lot of just life documentation. I went home for Christmas and then visited a pod of friends in Milwaukee for NYE (we all quarantined two weeks before and no one has gotten sick since then so we did our due diligence, believe me). I felt so incredibly alive getting to take photos in Milwaukee just being around people, seeing a new city, experiencing the first real snow of the season, and I sincerely hope that one day when all this is over I can become one of those people who embraces life on film. It’s pricey and it takes a lot of patience, but I’m just obsessed with the shots I’ve gotten. And as for the Portra film…I get it. I really really get it.
